Studio Info

Beginning august, I am located at Houndstooth Tattoo in the Callowhill neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA.

Houndstooth Tattoo: 1022 Buttonwood St, Philadelphia, PA 19123

Parking/Transportation:

Houndstooth Tattoo:

Street parking is available on nearby streets, some free and some metered. There are one or two lots near 1001 ridge ave and potentially others in the area.

The closest stop on the Broad Street Line is the Spring Garden station (8 minute walk).

If you are coming via train from outside the city, such as using the Doylestown/Lansdale line, the closest station of Regional Rail is Jefferson Station (14 min walk).

There are many bus stops/lines nearby, including the 4, 16, 23, 61, etc.

Accessibility/Accommodations

Houndstooth Tattoo:

I work on the second floor of the studio. There is one flight of stairs and unfortunately no elevator.

I can accommodate the inaccessibility of the stairs by occasionally working in another artist’s station downstairs, if need be!

Please email me with any questions/concerns, and I will do my best to make the appointment as comfortable as possible for you!

COVID-19/Illness Policies

Masks are required when working with me. They are not required by the studio but this is my own comfort level that I ask you to respect.

If you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness, or were directly exposed to COVID-19/other illness leading up to your appointment, please reach out to reschedule.

Studio Policies

You must be at least 18 years old at the time of your appointment, and provide a valid (non-expired) form of ID upon arrival.

One guest is allowed in the studio per client.

The studio is a child-free and substance-free environment.

If you are pregnant or nursing, please allow 3 months post-birth and/or nursing to schedule an appointment.

I cannot tattoo over fresh burns, scrapes, cuts, sunburn, etc.

Clients on medication such as antibiotics and steroids should finish treatment before getting tattooed.

Booking an appointment

If you are interesting in booking a tattoo with me, please submit a tattoo request form when my books are open. If I am able to take on your project, expect to receive an email from me within 1-2 weeks (check your spam!).

Tattoo Criteria

I prioritize flash (pre-drawn designs).

Available flash can be found on my instagram highlight - new designs will be put out on the first of every month, and periodically in between.

I am always happy to create re-draws of claimed/existing designs, or draw something completely new using my old flash/tattoos as inspiration.

I accept custom projects on a case-by-case basis.

I only tattoo in black/gray and in the illustrative dotwork style seen in my portfolio.

Subjects I’m interested in tattooing include: fungi, fruit, insects, plants, skulls, animals and themes similar to what you see on my instagram.

I am more likely to take on projects with some level of creative freedom, but please try to give at least a rough idea of what you have in mind.

I create my best work when tattooing things that excite and inspire me, so unfortunately I will not take on every custom idea and it should not be taken personally. :)

Custom designs are not shown until the day of the appointment. Small changes may be made day of, but anything significant may require a reschedule.

Pricing

My minimum is $200, with the exception of flash specials.

I price tattoos by the piece - taking multiple variables into account: size, detail, duration of tattoo, placement, etc.

Pricing greatly depends on the factors listed above. A 6x1” simple tattoo is not the same price as a 6x6” very detailed tattoo. :)

A more specific estimate can be given during the booking process, but pricing is subject to change with size/placement/design changes.

Small pieces ranging from palm size or smaller (< 3-4”) are around $200-$300.

Medium pieces ranging from palm to hand size (4-6”) are around $300-$600.

Large pieces beyond hand size (7”+) are around $600+.

A full day session (6 hours) is approx. $1,000 unless stated otherwise.

I offer discounted or sliding scale rates for BIPOC - please email me or note that you’re interested in your booking form and I can give more info!

Deposits / Payment

I require a $100 deposit for each appointment ($200 for full day / 6 hour sessions)

Your appointment/date is not secured until your deposit has been received.

Deposits are non-refundable and will be subtracted from your tattoo total on the day of your appointment.

Deposits cannot be transferred to another client.

On the day of the appointment, payment is accepted in cash (strongly preferred) or card (3% processing fee added).

Rescheduling + Canceling

All reschedules and cancellations must go through me via email. Please reach out with a reschedule request as soon as possible and I will do my best to work with you!

If rescheduled less than 72 hours leading up to the appointment, a new deposit will need to be submitted.

I do not feel comfortable driving in snow or dangerous weather conditions. I will give as much notice as I can if we need to reschedule due to weather.

Artist Information

I have been tattooing since January 2022. By booking with me, you understand that in the grand scheme of my career, I’m still learning! Every single tattoo continues to be an opportunity for growth and my learning journey/dedication towards this craft is FAR from over. I appreciate those that have trusted me and allowed me to grow thus far. I truly could not do this without all of your love and support!

Are your supplies vegan/cruelty-free?

Yes - all of the supplies I use in the tattoo process are vegan/cruelty-free. Ⓥ
